James 1: 2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything

An image made to captivate you with color, dominate the canvas with beauty in all its glory, and exude a sense of confidence and freedom that resonates from the soul. I wanted to convey the contrast between the beauty of success and the process it takes to get there. The journey of human life often parallels that of nature. In thinking about the road to success & the struggles, hardships, moments of isolation, and uncertainties we face along the way I am somehow reminded of the life cycle of the butterfly.

Set alongside a small broken shell that once housed this bold presence on the canvas. Offset to show how the process to get to this place now in hindsight seems trivial. Merging this concept with nature helps to bring the story of the butterfly to life and show how the process is necessary , how growth sometimes requires you to go alone , often be in the dark &  uncomfortable place, to develop patience & endure pain. To perservere, to conquer, to allow it all to serves its purpose in your destiny.
